The
North Central Pylon League (NCPL) was formed in the early 70's by the
early Quarter Midget 15 racers primarily in Minnesota and Iowa. It has
operated continuously as an organization since that time, sponsoring,
reporting, and promoting pylon racing in over a dozen different formats.
Since it's inception, the NCPL has performed these functions for over
500 pylon races.
NCPL
races are currently held at the Grassfield
R/C flying field in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota at just west of Hwy.
169 and 101st Street.
The
NCPL for the new millennium continues a strong pylon racing tradition
with state of the art electronics, AMA legal cages, and a solid schedule
consisting of 18 events in 5 racing divisions.
Mission
The purpose
of the North Central Pylon League shall be to set forth the procedures
and rules to be used as a guideline for racing, provide master lists
for the contest directors, keep and maintain records of all participating
fliers, hold and election of officers annually, collect NCPL membership
dues, and coordinate NCPL contest dates among the sponsoring clubs.
